Does Satan Believe In The Eucharist?

This might be a bit of a scary topic for some Catholics to want to think about. But as you can probably tell from my other blogs, I don't really sugar coat much. This is probably also a title that confuses you. Trust me, I get it. But hang tight and here me out for a minute.

So you are probably aware that people who are practicing Christians usually gather with other believers and worship in some way, shape, or form. This can refer to Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox Christians, Lutherans, etc. They all have different ways of worshiping, but they have one thing in common. They believe and worship Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Keep that in your head. We'll get back to it in a second.

Have you ever really thought about Satan? Most of us know that Satan was an angel who did not agree with God's ways and was categorized as "a fallen angel". He prowls about the world seeking the ruins of souls and is the temper of our sins. Just like Christians gather to worship Jesus Christ, serious Satanists gather together to do the very opposite.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to speak to someone who had been involved in something like this? There's a priest by the name of Father Andrew Trapp who had an experience to speak with a man named Nicholas, who used to be a full-fledged Satanist. Nicholas eventually had a conversion back to Christianity because of how enslaved he felt while being a part of this group. Father Trapp had never spoke to an actual Satanist before, so he was eager to ask him a ton of questions about his experience. One of the things that Nicholas admitted was that they have what is called a "Black Mass". During this service, they specifically mock the Mass of the Catholic Church. He also admitted that they steal consecrated hosts from Catholic churches and then they desecrate them at their services. They desecrate them with spit, bodily waste, and other blasphemies. The last thing Nicholas admitted was that some Satanists can actually tell the difference between a consecrated and unconsecrated host. For example, they will not steal bread from Protestant communion meals for these "Black Masses". It would never work because some of the Satanists would know right away that it was just ordinary bread. They would know that Jesus Christ is not sacramentally present there. Nicholas said that before his conversion, he was also able to tell the difference. The reason he said this could happen is, "Because of the burning hate I would feel toward that host, apart from all the others." A handful of the Saints were able to have this power too, but for the exact opposite reason. It was because of their deep love of Christ that enabled them to know the difference.

So after hearing this story, can you see that even Satan believes in the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist? The reason I am bringing this up is because I want to ask you "Catholics", do YOU actually believe in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist? Does Satan believe in the real presence more than you do?

First, we need to realize that Jesus is more powerful than Satan. Our hearts should burn for receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, but it's easy for us to lose sight of it. Do you really believe that the bread and wine at mass actually transforms into the body and blood of Christ? Well before I go any further, I want you to click on this link below and read about some of the Eucharistic miracles that have been performed throughout the years to help deepen our faith in the Real Presence: https://www.catholic.com/magazine/print-edition/eucharistic-miracles-evidence-of-the-real-presence-0

If you come to the conclusion that you do in fact believe in Jesus in the Eucharist with all your heart, then ask yourself a few questions. Do you go to mass every Sunday? Do you genuflect when you approach or pass a tabernacle? Do you do the sign of the cross when you pass a church because you know Jesus is in there? Do you kneel when the tabernacle in open and during the consecration? Do you fast 1 full hour before receiving communion? Do you receive the Eucharist with a mortal sin on your soul before going to confession? What do you do Monday-Saturday to adore Jesus? When the son of man returns, will he find any faith in the Real Presence left on earth? Are we giving the devil reasons to laugh at us?

These are just some questions to reflect on that will answer the question of whether you do believe in the Real Presence or you don’t. Maybe you do believe it deep in your heart, but you do not know exactly how to show it. I just gave you a ton of things you can start doing to prove to yourself and others that you know Jesus is fully present in the consecrated bread and wine. Don't let Satan make a fool of you!

I'm sorry if this post scared you a little. But I used to be in the shoes of someone who did not believe in the Real Presence. I thought I did. But about a year ago, all of my answers to those questions above would have certainly been NO. If I really did believe in it, at least some of those answers would be yes. I am now someone who attends mass not only on Sundays but even during the week. I visit church's frequently who have the Blessed Sacrament(another term used for the Eucharist) exposed in a montranse(I will leave an image below of what that looks like). There's a lot more that I started to do after my reversion regarding the Real Presence, but we don't have all day. Now that I truly believe in the Eucharist, I don't know how I would ever live without it. I truly believe that it is a major game changer. The Eucharist is what brings us as close as we can get to Jesus in this world, before we enter the next...
